Keynote is an awesome way to present your learning. Just like the tips you learned about creating a good visual, there are number of tips to help make yours a good one.
Transitions
- Only use transitions that make sense or add to your message/topic (eg. don’t use flames for something about computers)
- Two maximum (unless you can justify a reason why you need more)
Colour
- Light text on dark background
- Dark text on light background
- Three colours max
- Complimentary colours
- Match colours to your images
Fonts
- Two fonts max (usually one for the title and another for the text)
- Choose fonts that are easy to read
- Font size for titles should be bigger than rest of the text
Images
- Don’t use too many pictures on one slide …unless you have a reason. – Better to have a few large rather than lots of small.
- Use ‘white space’ to emphasis your images
- Use large images as you can make them smaller if you need to.
