Bearings and Location

LEARNING EXPERIENCES: For all these activities you will need as many boxes of 3D solids as you can.

• Using 4 quadrants of cartesian plane (2-3 periods)
• Bearings introduction (1-2 periods)-introduction to both named and numerical bearings. 
• Google Earth bearings–using Google Earth to follow and find bearings. (2 periods)

ASSESSMENT TASKS: 

• Bearing and Location Post – Post assessment for students to use the four quadrants of a cartesian plane and compass bearings.
